Swimmm... like a fish? 50m pool. My favourite. Although, makes for difficult sprints... tiring, but a good mental push. Swam 10x50m front crawl, 10x50 flutter, 10x50 crawl, 10x50 flutter/backstroke, and then 50x5 sprints, with 50m intervals inbetween... worked out to be 50x50m in total. Good swim, good swim indeed.

My KNEEEEEEEEEEE!! I miss my runners! I guess I forgot to mention that they're sitting, lonely, at grams and gramps.... far far away from home. I've been using one of my old pairs. But there's a reason I upgraded! Only after 2 days of running on them, does my knee cringe and scream and cry out for some stability! Poor Knee. Regardless of the pain, I pushed through 5 miles, at a 7 minute mile pace. I think tonight calls for some yoga... stretch out my tender knee.

Gorgeousssssssss out! First week of April and the sun is shining bright, warming the air at 15 degrees above. Mmmm mmm. Unfortunatly, my body isn't as happy as the sun is today. So a ride it was, took the Divinci out for a 30km ride, averaged 30km/hr alone. Not bad. Wanted to run though. Tomorrow. So it goes.

WRARH! SPRINT SPRINTS YOU SPRINTER! I've got to say, today's sprints were great! Kaila and I pushed through 6 x 100m sprints, 5 x 200m sprints, 1 x 400m sprint, with 20sec, 30sec, and 2 minute rests.  Cool down wasn't fabulous, was feeling dehydrated, with major lactic acid build up. Gotta truck through though. Running gives me wings, I swear.
Put in a hot yoga class immediately after, feels so good to stretch out after sprints. Just should have rehydrated properly before. It was so humid, and I struggled to swallow. So it goes.

Fierce North wind today. Low, dark billowing clouds. Made for a cold and difficult ride. 32km distance at a 29km/hour pace. Slowwwww turtle today. Frozen toes. Frozen fingers. Dooze.
Dooze. Forgot yesterday. Oops! Pushed through another double hot yoga class yesterday. Feels great! If only there's enough hydration and energy in a body to do a triple. It was sleeting and raining hard today. But once the sleet cleared up, the conditions were great for running... perfect temperature (5 degrees), a slight wind, and some soft rain. My favourite conditions! Rain, rain, never go away... well, okay, don't stay forever, but I do love it! Ran down some sandy/dirt roads. Ended up fighting a tough wind for the entire run (4 miles), but averaged a decent pace considering (6:55 min/mile). My plan to do sprint work fell through with the wet puddle infested roads.

So little monsters, I'm thinking I'm the monster now... 3 hours of hot yoga back to back. Coulda pulled off another class... but opted out... next time :P
Day numero uno. Gorgeous out. Eighteen above... wind is warm. Made for great running conditions. I always love running on a windy day. Pushing against an uncontrolable force. Mmm... good. The dirt roads were soggy, so my shoes got mucked up. I ended up running 2 miles of my 4 mile run in the ditch. Hard on the ankles, but kinda fun. The wind and ditch running slowed down my pace. 7:08 minute miles. Okay. I suppose everyone has to start somewhere.
